2017 Billboard Music Awards: Ludacris and Vanessa Hudgens Confirmed as Hosts for the Show

Vanessa HudgensLudacris and Vanessa Hudgens will be the co-hosts of the 2016 Billboard Music Awards in May 21, according to an announcement made by Billboard today. The show will be hosted for the fourth year in a row by rapper Ludacris. He will be joined by first-time host and actress Vanessa Hudgens.

Ludacris told his followers on Instagram “I’M BACK FOR YEAR NUMBER 4 so I must be doing something right! Hosting the @BBMAs with my girl @VanessaHudgens this year! Don’t miss it, LIVE May 21 at 8e/5p on ABC. #BBMAs”

“I’m so unbelievably excited to host the @BBMAs this year with @Ludacris! The party starts LIVE May 21 at 8e/5p on ABC. #BBMAs” Vanessa tweeted.

Drake, The Chainsmokers, Twenty One Pilots, Rihanna, The Weeknd, and Beyonce will all compete for top artist, along with Adele, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, and Shawn Mendes. Drake is also up for top male artist and top Billboard 200 artist, while The Chainsmokers are in the running for top duo/group and top 100 artist. The nominations are based on “fan interactions” with music.

The 2017 Billboard Music Awards are scheduled to take place on May 21 and air on ABC beginning at 8PM ET.
