September 6, 2015

Nick Jonas & Selena GomezBefore performing at the Made in America Festival in Philadelphia yesterday, the 22-year-old singer dropped a surprise track titled “Area Code” on SoundCloud and he seems to reference his relationship with his ex, Selena Gomez!

In the song Nick sings, “You say I never been good for you / You can’t deny I gave it good to you,” referencing Selena’s song with ASAP Rocky “Good For You.” Nick didn’t stop here but he added fuel to the fire when he favorited two fans tweets that pointed out his Selena reference in “Area Code.”

One fan wrote, “Oh my gosh. Nick. Selena, Never thought I’d be saying this again! Area Code references ‘Good for You.’”, while another wrote, “When u hang out with Selena Gomez,” before attaching a link to Nick’s new song.

Nick and Selena first started dating in 2008, and the pair had an on-and-off relationship until they officially split in 2010. Recently they caught up while attending the Republic Records After-Party following the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards on August 30, in Los Angeles. The hunky singer was caught talking into the giggling former Disney kid’s ear as they enjoyed the smooth tunes spilling from his sibling’s turntables at popular nightspot Ysabel.
