Musician Sets World Record After Playing Drums for Five Days

drumsA drummer from the uk has broken the world record for longest continuous drumming. Phil Knight, 25, from Chingford, London played drums for 102 hours and 53 minutes, taking 20 minute rest and food breaks every four hours, in Leicester Square in London’s West End.

Knight broke the record to raise money for the Helen Bamber Foundation, which supports victims of human rights violations. The actor Emma Thompson gave support to Knight, also other musicians sent encouragement including Sir Elton John and Craig David.

Knight said he felt fine, after a long sleep, although he has a few aches. The huge session attracted crowds in Leicester Square.
