Kim Kardashian Snapchatted a Cute Selfie with Britney Spears at the VMAs

August 29, 2016

Kim Kardashia with Britney SpearsKim Kardashian may have been preparing to introduce Britney Spears ahead of Britney’s performance with rapper G-Eazy. The social media queen took to Snapchat to share a video with Britney, and exclaimed “it’s Britney, bitch” as the pair both pouted at the camera.

Kim Kardashian introduced Britney, whom she confessed she was “obsessed with” on Twitter. “And I see you guys guessing on who I am presenting….A little hint, it’s someone i am obsessed with!!!! LIKE OBSESSED!!!!! #VMAs”

Britney quickly responded, saying: “Can’t wait to see how hot you’re gonna look tonight! See you 10 seconds after!”

The pop icon returned to the MTV VMA stage for the first time in a decade to perform her new single “Make Me” last night. Dressed in a sparkly yellow leotard, Britney danced with a fair amount of the feline energy that made her the original VMAs phenom back in the early 2000s. She was joined halfway through the performance by collaborator G-Eazy.

The last time Britney performed at the MTV Video Music Awards was in 2007, when she famously flopped her performance of “Gimme More.” So, nine years later, it was good to see Spears back on the VMAs stage again, looking happy, healthy, and confident.

Rihanna Breaks Down in Tears Onstage During Dublin Concert

June 22, 2016

Rihanna cryingRihanna showed a different side of herself during a live show in Dublin last night.

After arriving 30 minutes late for her scheduled performance at the Aviva Stadium, RiRi broke down in tears as she performed “Love The Way You Lie” her 2010 hit with Eminem.

When her Irish fans screamed out the words to the tune, she wiped away her eyes, before trying to carry on with the song, but tears could still be seen streaming down her face.

The Barbadian beauty later told the crowd: “I only have ever in my life heard an audience of people scream so loud that they sound like one voice and that only happens in Ireland, in Dublin… Thank you so much.”

It was the opening night of the UK and Ireland leg of her Anti World Tour, which kicked off earlier this year in the US.

Carrie Underwood Covers Dolly Parton’s ‘I Will Always Love You’

March 10, 2016

Carrie UnderwoodCarrie Underwood, who turned 33 today, recently stopped by the Bobby Bones radio show and covered Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always Love You” once again but it was really special this time.

With simple acoustic guitar accompaniment backing her, Carrie starts the song with a spiritual lightness to her voice, wringing as much drama and emotion as she could show out of Dolly’s classic hit “I Will Always Love You,” a song popularized by Whitney Houston’s cover for the 1992 film The Bodyguard, and it topped the Billboard charts for a then-record 14 weeks.

A fan outside the studio waited to give her a cake while she was leaving a “BBC Breakfast” interview. Happy birthday, Carrie!

How to Change Strings on a Classical Guitar without Bridge Pins

October 19, 2015

Changing Classical guitar strings is a little more complicated than a steel string acoustic guitar or electric guitar because a nylon string guitar requires special knots and stringing techniques unique to this style of guitar. Below, I show you the best way to restring your guitar, so you can get it right, every time. It has been said that replacing strings one at a time is better for the guitar because it maintains tension on the neck. Not true. However, replacing strings one at a time can be more convenient for this reason I will change one string at a time.

  1. Loosen the sixth string (Low E) by turning tuning peg counter-clockwise until the string is loose. You won’t need to unwind the string completely, just enough so that you can manually unwind the string from the peg.
  2. Untie the knot at the bridge then remove the old string from the tuning peg and the bridge.
  3. Take the new low E string and slip about 3 inches of it through its hole in the bridge.1
  4. Then, pull the end over the bridge and wrap it around the left side of the string and underneath itself.2
  5. Loop the end of the string under the length of string that runs over the bridge at least twice before pulling the end of the string out the bottom so that the loops tighten.4
  6. Place the other end of the sting through the hole in the tuning peg making sure that there is a little slack on the string.5
  7. Pull the free end of the string up and around the top of the tuner roller and pass it around the rest of the string and back under the loop. The knot you are forming with the string is called a Half Hitch.6
  8. Tighten the string by turning the tuning peg clockwise and tune the string to the right pitch with a guitar tuner.8
  9. Repeat all the previous steps for the other 5 strings.
  10. Once you change all of the strings, you can trim the loose ends of the strings with a pair of wire cutters so that it looks clean and professional.
